India has imposed restrictions on 42% of imports of garments, processed food and other select items from Bangladesh, targeting goods worth approximately $770 million. The new passport have an embedded chip that holds your data digitally like your photo, fingerprints, passport details, and other security features. 

Trump Urges Apple to Avoid Manufacturing in India

US President Donald Trump has publicly urged Apple CEO Tim Cook to refrain from expanding manufacturing operations in India, despite India’s offer to waive tariffs on US goods. Trump emphasized the importance of boosting domestic production within the United States. He concluded that “we are not interested in Apple building in India; they can take care of themselves”.

US-China Trade Deal Developments

The United States and China have made progress on a new trade deal aimed at resolving ongoing disputes and reducing tariffs. The agreement focuses on intellectual property rights, technology transfers, and market access for American companies. Also, the US will reduce tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30% for 90 days, and China will reduce tariffs from 125% to 10% for the same time period.
